Croeso i’r Stori Wyllt symposiwm!
Welcome to the Stori Wyllt symposium!
The Stori Wyllt Symposiwm was an ideal opportunity for the teachers, naturalists and creatives from the four schools to meet each other in-person and share ideas at a central location in Ceredigion (Moody Meadows at Bargoed Farm ar bwys Llwyncelyn).
The Stori Wyllt schools are, from the south to the north, Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi, Ysgol Llanarth, Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron and Ysgol Llanilar.
The venue was excellent, very affordable at a good location, with a big TV screen for the slideshow introduction to Stori Wyllt. Ecologist Carys May, from West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre, gave an introduction to wildlife ID and recording, and then led the way to a hedgerow and some rough grassland just the other side of the lake for our very own ID session. (Apologies for the photo of the Spear Thistle, this was the only photo I took of the whole event, I was a bit preoccupied!)
A walk is a lovely thing, and a walk with wildlife is even better, and it was fantastic to see everyone. Here is a link to my slides:
